PHILOSOPHY HOPE IN A JAR REVIEW
3/12/2013
Hello readers ~
Today I'm going to review about this famous moisturizer. This is the first time I'm reviewing a moisturizer.
As far I remember, this is the first face moisturizer I ever had.
I'm not a fan of moisturizer. I have oily skin and I think that my oil is enough to moisturize my face.
Then how can I buy this expensive moisturizer?
Hmm, firstly it's because their having discount back then, secondly I decided to buy it because of curiosity and thirdly I realized that moisturizer is important though I have oily skin type (google makes me smarter :p )
Beside those reason, I also get tempted by their pink packaging and their "limited" word. You must know, I love limited edition stuff so much.lol
This is their special packaging for The Breast Cancer Foundation
Also, the price is same as the normal packaging. Therefore, I chose to buy this edition. Same price, cute packaging and I also donating my $5 for Breast Cancer Research. *so happy*
I must say that philosophy named their products really creative.
Just like this moisturizer, they named it "hope in a jar" then they also have a product which is named when a hope is not enough . lol.
The packaging itself is simple. white or clear bottle with black lid. This packaging has pink label and pink box.
The box is full of glitter ! ahh... I love the packing so much. I give it 10/10 :p
The tube is quite big (It will last for a year I think) but it didn't come with spatula so I have to stick my finger to the tube. I'm lazy when I have to stick my finger to something. I always have long nails, so my nails will be covered by the cream and it's such a waste and I feel dirty too.
Mine is 60ml / 2 fl.oz which costs $40
See? expensive right? until now I still feel guilty spending that much money.lmao.
This moisturizer is formulated for all skin type.
It has a light texture. It looks like whipped cream in my opinion.
Because of it light texture, when I applied on my face it's not sticky at all. The cream easily adsorb to my skin
It has a scent though. If your not a fan of scent you might get annoyed with the scent. Sometimes I feel the scent is too strong though.
After you using it, I feel my face looks brighter and give me the rosy glow (yeah, it's true like what they promised.... hohoho). So far, I satisfied with the result.
It doesn't make my face breakouts as well. So If you have sensitive/acne-prone skin, you might want to try this moisturizer.
